BEFORE & AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS + HEALING

To ensure optimal results and a smooth healing process, please follow the premium pre- and post-care guidelines outlined below.

BEFORE YOUR EYELINER APPOINTMENT

To prepare your delicate eye area:

  • Avoid lash extensions for at least 48 hours prior (and ideally, have them fully removed at least 5 days before).
  • Do not use lash growth serums that contains chemicals for 2–4 weeks prior — these increase skin sensitivity.
  • Refrain from eye makeup the day of your procedure.
  • No Botox or injectables in the eye area for at least 2 weeks prior.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners (e.g. aspirin, fish oil, Vitamin E) for 24 hours prior.
  • Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment. Please bring glasses if needed.

 

 

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS (FIRST 7–10 DAYS)

The eyeliner area is delicate and requires gentle, attentive care to ensure pigment retention and avoid irritation.

What to Do:

  • Use a clean, damp cotton pad to gently wipe the eye area morning and night for the first 2 days.
  • Apply recommended ointment sparingly if advised (usually from Day 3 onward).
  • Allow any flaking or scabbing to shed naturally — do not rub, pick, or scratch.
  • Use sunglasses outdoors to protect from sun and dust.
  • Sleep slightly elevated if possible to minimise swelling.

 

Avoid:

  • No eye makeup (mascara, eyeliner, shadows) for 7–10 days.
  • Avoid heavy sweating, saunas, and swimming.
  • No lash extensions, serums, or facials around the eyes until fully healed.
  • Do not touch or stretch the treated area unnecessarily.
  • Avoid direct water pressure on the eyes in the shower.

 

HEALING TIMELINE

  • Day 1–3: Mild swelling, tightness, and possible puffiness.
  • Day 4–7: Light flaking may occur. Pigment may appear faded temporarily — this is normal.
  • Day 10+: Color begins to settle as the skin regenerates. Final results appear after 4–6 weeks.

A perfecting touch-up session is recommended at 6–8 weeks to refine shape and color.

Is there any downtime?

Can I still wear makeup with an eyeliner tattoo?
